New and improved for 2018, two races and one unforgettable finish! The World Heritage Site provides the stunning backdrop to this exciting event that chases through the narrow cobbled streets and along the beautiful River Wear with the imposing 900 year old Cathedral always beckoning. There can hardly be a more spectacular setting for a Summer Night of racing and fun. Tell me more, tell me more!
The 5k and 10k races start 10 minutes apart, facing each other across the ancient Market square. 5k runners will set off first at 7.15pm, with the 10k runners following 10 minutes later. Whichever you elect for, you will finish at Palace Green in between the Cathedral and the Castle, following in the footsteps of pilgrims who have climbed the hill for almost a thousand years. With a little luck you may have produced you’re own historical performance to match the surrounding splendour! All competitors have free access to the Durham City Park and Ride system so no need to worry about parking, you can run, recover and relax!
